Champions Awards Reception Friday, Feb 27
Everyone is welcome to join us at Sebring International Raceway on Friday, Feb 27th at 5pm in the Gallery of Legends building to celebrate our 2025 Champions. Last season saw a tight battle in the Mission Foods GT3 Cup Championship with G. MICHAEL MERRITT coming out on top. However an even closer battle was had in the Stuttgart Cup category with TOM KIRK claiming the Championship. While our favorite social media star and Ferrari driver, YOUSUF NABI grabbed the Maranello Cup Championship. Help us crown these champions at the Awards Reception on Friday after the first IGT sprint race. The Gallery of Legends is the building behind pit lane at the walkover bridge.
Just Hands and IGT Paving the way for Adaptive Athletes
Many of you know Torsten Gross from the Just Hands Motorsports car on our grid. What you may not know is that Just Hands Foundation is the charity he founded to open the doors of motorsports to adaptive athletes.
Motorsports is the only sport on the planet where adaptive athletes can compete on truly equal footing with able-bodied competitors—and Torsten has proven that fact every time he takes the green flag with International GT.
What began as a single car at Lime Rock Park has grown into a national movement (see more of the story by clicking on the Just Hands ad and link to the Amazon Prime 4-part docuseries).
This year, the Just Hands Foundation is expanding its presence to Austin (at COTA and Harris-Hill) and Miami-Homestead, bringing opportunity, access, and seat time to more athletes than ever before.
To fuel that growth, the Foundation has set an ambitious fundraising goal of $500,000—and they’re already halfway there. All drivers value the access to seat time, equipment, and opportunity and with the assistance of Just Hands Foundation we can offer these assets. Regardless of the size of the contribution, every dollar helps put another adaptive athlete on track.
The racing community is special, and International GT is proud to support an organization that is growing the sport by expanding opportunities to all.
