International GT will present a Rookie Of The Year Award for the past 2018 Championship season. The eligible candidate to receive the award is a driver that competed with International GT for the first year and is relatively early in their racing experience. The criteria includes on-track performance and conduct combined with great attitude, sportsmanship, enthusiasm and camaraderie. These traits are similar to the International GT Bob Akin Award and Derek Bell Le Mans Trophies.
The award is presented and sponsored by Scott Grody Travel, Delray Beach, Florida. After owning and operating a chain of forty-seven travel agencies in the 90’s, Scott now devotes his time as a personal travel planning consultant. His industry expertise and intimate knowledge of his client’s taste and preferences is a great service to his discerning customer base.
The International GT Rookie Of The Year trophy will be awarded with the “Cruise on the Fly” certificate. The recipient and guest will be offered a variety of cruises for 12 months on Celebrity Cruise Line. Cruises can range from a few days to 2 weeks.
International GT enthusiastically welcomes and recognizes new drivers to the series and appreciates the association with Scott Grody Travel for this award.
This very special recognition will be presented at the International GT Awards Reception in Sebring’s Gallery of Legends on Friday, March 1, 2019.
