Invitation-Only Friday Night Concert and Celebration Open to International GT Competitors and Series Friends

FERNANDINA BEACH, Florida (March 14, 2016) – International GT will celebrate this weekend’s Amelia Island Vintage Gran Prix races for The Stuttgart Cup and The Maranello Cup, March 17 – 20, at the Fernandina Beach Airport with a special show by popular blues performer Bill “Sauce Boss” Wharton at the Racelink race shop this Friday night at 5:30 p.m. EDT.

The invitation-only event is open to all International GT competitors and friends associated with The Stuttgart Cup and The Maranello Cup. Please RSVP your attendance with Julie Bentley at jbentley463@gmail.com or (770) 380-7770. Learn more about Bill “Sauce Boss” Wharton at www.sauceboss.com.

Wharton brings his own hot sauce to every gig, cooks a big pot of gumbo while smoking his slide guitar, and at the end of the show, everyone gets a bowl. Sauce Boss not only plays slide, sings his tamales off, makes gumbo, and feeds everybody, he also plays a drum kit with his feet. Singing the recipe, he mixes his music and cooking together into a new medium that will take on a high-speed flair Friday building the off-track excitement for the second International GT race of the year.

After successful season-debut races two weeks ago at Sebring International Raceway, Round 2 of the 2016 International GT schedule includes a Thursday test day and three full days of competition Friday through Sunday on the temporary Fernandina Beach Airport layout.

About International GT: International GT is a North American racing series that includes three different championships for late model Porsche and Ferrari competitors. Home primarily to sportsman drivers, with the occasional professional driver/coach joining the action in endurance races, International GT annually presents The Stuttgart Cup and The Maranello Cup championships. The Stuttgart Cup includes two classes, one for Caymans and another division that features 996, 997 and other GT3 Cup cars from the last decade. With rare exception, all three divisions compete on track at the same time for individual class honors in their own and exclusive International GT run group at SVRA race events. Most race weekends feature a minimum of one enduro and two sprint “points” races that count toward the season championships.
