SVRA Miami Historics on Homestead Road Course April 9 – 12

HOMESTEAD, Florida (March 6, 2015) – Entries are now being accepted for The Stuttgart Cup™ and Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy USA by Car Amigo race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, April 9 – 12. The entry form was posted today and can be downloaded by clicking here.

porsche stuttgart cupThe Stuttgart Cup and Mission Foods GT3 series will race for the first time this year with the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) at the SVRA Miami Historics where the competing Cayman, Boxster and 996, 997 and GT3 Cup cars will race in their own run group. A full event schedule will be distributed in the coming days.

The Miami Historics complete a three-race, season-opening run for The Stuttgart Cup™ and Mission Foods GT3 series in Florida. The 2015 season began with last month’s Palm Beach Grand Prix at Palm Beach International Raceway, February 12 – 14, and will next race with Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) during the Mobil 1Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida, March 18 – 21.

The Homestead-Miami race marks the first appearance together of The Stuttgart Cup™ and Mission Foods GT3 at the South Florida track. The Sebring 12 Hour weekend is also the first time that The Stuttgart Cup™ and Mission Foods GT3 series will appear together at a major sports car race weekend.

Following the season-opening stretch of three Florida races, The Stuttgart Cup™ and Mission Foods GT3 series are next scheduled to race at Road America in the Spring Vintage Festival, May 14 – 17.

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course then plays host to the series at the Mid-Ohio Vintage Grand Prix, June 25 – 28, before an autumn return to Road Atlanta for the second-straight year, September 14 – 17, at the Atlanta Fall Historics.

porsche-mission-foodsThe series stays in Georgia for the following round, October 22 – 24, at the annual Savannah Speed Classic, October 22 – 24. The series will appear at the event, which uses The Grand Prize Circuit at Hutchinson Island just across the river from downtown Savannah, for the third consecutive year.

The 2015 concludes with what has become the traditional season-ending Daytona Historic Races, November 12 – 15, and back to Sebring for the Sebring Historics finale, December 3 – 6.

Open to all Porsche Caymans, Boxsters and 996, 997 and GT3 Cup cars, 2015 marks the second full season that The Stuttgart Cup™ and Mission Foods GT3 Cup series will race together.

Showcasing Porsche Caymans and Boxsters, The Stuttgart Cup™ is beginning its fourth year of racing and third full-season of competition this year. Partnering with Mission Foods GT3, which has been a fixture on classic and historic race weekends for the last several seasons, was an ideal collaboration that attracted strong competitor interest and the support of Pirelli Tire in 2014.

About The Stuttgart Cup™ and the Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy USA by Car Amigo: The Stuttgart Cup™ and the Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy USA by Car Amigo are managed by Americas Cup GT L.L.C. Both series are sprint and endurance race based with The Stuttgart Cup™ open to all Porsche Caymans and Boxsters and Mission Foods GT3 open to all 2000 and later Porsche 911 GT3s and related models. Rules for both series are centered on power to weight ratio. All competing Stuttgart Cup cars must compete with stock make and model engine and transmissions with approved allowances for exhaust and intake modifications. Stuttgart Cup organizers also welcome all competitors with existing race-prepared Caymans or Boxsters to compete with body and engine modifications balanced within series power to weight ratio parameters. All such competitors will not be eligible for championship points or class-designated race wins, but the door is always open to all Cayman and Boxster competitors to get in on the action.
