Greenberg Wins Enduro and Both Sprints; Stavola Takes Cayman Enduro, LeQueux Doubles on Sprint Victories

PALM BEACH, Florida (February 14, 2015) – Mark Greenberg swept all three Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy USA by Car Amigo races at this weekend’s season-opening Palm Beach Grand Prix while Rick Stavola and Dominique LeQueux split The Stuttgart Cup™ races Saturday in the final day of competition at Palm Beach International Raceway.

Greenberg, driving his 2009 No. 77 NETTTS/Orbit Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, capped a dominating weekend with a solo drive to victory in Saturday afternoon’s featured 90-minute Enduro. That win followed a victory earlier Saturday morning in the weekend’s second 30-minute sprint race. Greenberg also won Friday’s first 30-minute sprint race.

In Stuttgart Cup action, LeQueux won both the Friday and Saturday sprint races in his MOMO-themed No. 30 Cayman S prepared by top Porsche prep shop, Goldcrest Motorsports, but Stavola stepped up to take the Enduro victory Saturday afternoon.

Stavola was second in the Friday sprint and third in Saturday’s short race but improved in the Enduro with his own solo drive to first place. Making his Stuttgart Cup debut in the 2014 finale at Sebring with the winning Bodymotion team, Stavola has built a quick record of success that has seen him finish on the podium in each of his first five series races in his No. 22 Cayman S. He garnered a pair of third-place showings at Sebring to go along with his victory and second and third place finishes at Palm Beach.

The Enduro runner-up finishers in both Mission Foods GT3 and the Stuttgart Cup were weekend-best results for three drivers. Debuting Orbit Racing driver Matt Joffe co-drove with Lonnie Pechnik to second in the 90-minute race after solo drives to third place in both sprints in his 2004 No. 99 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Joffe was making his overall auto racing debut this weekend and reached the podium in all three races.

In The Stuttgart Cup™, two-time and reigning champion Bill Riddell co-drove with Joe Sullivan in the yellow No. 139 Cayman S for Enduro runner-up honors. Riddell drove the same car to a second-place finish in the Saturday sprint but the Enduro runner-up was a weekend best for Sullivan, who also finished third in the Friday sprint.

Other Mission Foods GT3 drivers to reach the podium included Adam Yunis, who was second in both sprints in his 2013 No. 41 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, and Bill Monde, who was third in the Enduro in another 2009 No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Pechnik pulled double duty in the Enduro, co-driving with both Joffe and Monde.

2015 marks the second full season that The Stuttgart Cup™ and Mission Foods GT3 Cup series will race together.

Open to all Porsche Caymans, Boxsters and 996, 997 and GT3 Cup cars, the Palm Beach Grand Prix kicked off a full 2015 schedule for The Stuttgart Cup™ and Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy USA by Car Amigo.

The PBIR opener will be followed by 2015 stops to such legendary circuits as Sebring International Raceway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Road America, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Road Atlanta and Daytona International Speedway, among other premier race tracks.

Showcasing Porsche Caymans and Boxsters, The Stuttgart Cup™ is beginning its fourth year of racing and third full-season of competition this year. Partnering with Mission Foods GT3, which has been a fixture on classic and historic race weekends for the last several seasons, was an ideal collaboration that attracted strong competitor interest and the support of Pirelli Tire in 2014.

The Stuttgart Cup™ and the Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy USA by Car Amigo are managed by Americas Cup GT L.L.C. Both series are sprint and endurance race based with The Stuttgart Cup™ open to all Porsche Caymans and Boxsters and Mission Foods GT3 open to all 2000 and later Porsche 911 GT3s and related models. Rules for both series are centered on power to weight ratio. All competing Stuttgart Cup cars must compete with stock make and model engine and transmissions with approved allowances for exhaust and intake modifications. Stuttgart Cup organizers also welcome all competitors with existing race-prepared Caymans or Boxsters to compete with body and engine modifications balanced within series power to weight ratio parameters. All such competitors will not be eligible for championship points or class-designated race wins, but the door is always open to all Cayman and Boxster competitors to get in on the action.
