The Boden’s (Joe far right, with father Mark) spending time with a few of the fans who packed Lime Rock Park on Saturday! With American flags throughout the facility and military (current or veterans) receiving free race entry, those who protect us and our country were at the forefront of the weekend’s celebrations.

One of the largest spectator crowds in recent years celebrated the Memorial Weekend Classic at Speed Tour, which features Trans Am, SVRA and International GT. The prime viewing areas on the grassy hills and paddock areas were full with enthusiastic fans, picnics, car clubs and campers.

Above: We’re thrilled to have two great father/son teams, Paul and John Reisman and Mark and Joe Boden, in International GT competition. Both multi-generation racing families have been involved in sportscar racing for many years.

Finishing a close second on Saturday was PAUL REISMAN, Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy 3.8 liter #75, followed by his son, JOHN REISMAN in his Stuttgart Cup 3.4 liter Cayman #5, both prepared by Hudson Historics. The Reismans have been long time sponsors of International GT with Pacifico, Costa Rica and The Interlaken Inn. The INTERLAKEN INN is a charming country resort nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires and just a few miles from Lime Rock Park. Thanks to Paul and John for their support of International GT!

Another father and son duo, MARK and JOSEPH BODEN, teamed up for Saturday’s enduro classic filling the third step on the Mission Foods 3.8 liter podium.

Mark and Joseph Boden continued their winning ways on Monday with first and second place finishes in both sprint races. Joseph has continued to impress coming in on Saturday to qualify and race with very competitive times while Dad celebrated overall wins in both international GT and Trans Am.

International GT welcomed local drivers STEVE KATZ #113 and IAN DARCY #98 to the Memorial Day Celebration. Both call Lime Rock Park their home track and joined International GT for the first time in the Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy 3.6 category. Local track knowledge contributed to them seriously challenging for overall honors in the two sprint races on Monday, finishing first and second respectively in the 3.6 liter class.

The “Drive It Forward” campaign continues to support great charity organizations through Saffer Auctions. We were delights to welcome Barry, Maureen and Jack Frankel to the Lime Rock Memorial Day event. A good time was had by all!!

International GT enjoyed special guests from the “DRIVE IT FORWARD” program which helps to raise money for deserving charities. Partnering with Neil Saffer of Saffer & Company Auctioneers and Charity Events, the program donates VIP International GT race experiences which include weekend passes, tours and pace car rides. The Frankel Family, Barry, Maureen and Jack, traveled from Boca Raton, Florida after their winning auction bid at the Chiera Foundation event a few weeks earlier. Their generous bid helped to send kids with cancer to Camp Boggy Creek, part of Nick’s Camp. The “Drive It Forward” campaign historically raises more than $60,000 annually for a number of different children and community charities.
