When International GT holds its season finale at Circuit of the Americas on November 2-5, 2017, the Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy Championship could come down to the final laps of the weekend! Currently JOHN MAURO (top left) is leading the Championship by 5.5 points over THOMAS PANK (top right).
A race win is worth 25 points however, there are bonus points given for the number of entries in each category. Additionally, only the best 8 of 16 sprint races and 4 of 7 enduros in the 2017 season are counted toward the championship.
Just 30 points behind PANK, JEFFREY FREEMAN is still in the hunt with three races scheduled for the COTA weekend.
MAUROis the reigning champion having won the title in 2016 by just a single point over MARK SANDRIDGE, who will be rejoining the series for the COTA event next month.

All three of the Championship contenders will be going for the overall win at COTA, the home track for all three Texas residents.
