Date Correction!! Intro to Gothem Motorsports, Registration and Barber draft schedule

It’s official, even we make mistakes (occasionally) In our desire to try and start getting 2026 race dates out, we made a slight mistake in last week’s email blast. The second round of the championship at Road Atlanta is scheduled for March 12-15, 2026. The good news is that we will NOT be conflicting with the IMSA 12 Hours of Sebring – which we know a lot of you attend. To confirm the 2026 dates that are set: FEBRUARY 26-MARCH 1 at Sebring and MARCH 12-15 at Road Atlanta. We plan to have the remainder of the 2026 schedule out in a couple weeks. IGT Welcomes Gotham Motorsports Ferrari Race Team A couple weeks ago we told you about a two Ferraris racing with us the remainder of the 2025 season. We can now introduce the team, GOTHAM MOTORSPORTS out of California. Good news from the team is that they now have a third Ferrari they will be bringing to Watkins Glen. Click on the photo of Watkins Glen Registration & Garage If you haven’t signed up for the Watkins Glen race yet….what are you waiting for?? Click on the photo of last year’s race start to link to registration and download the schedule. Note on the schedule, we are still working out load-in times, more on that next week. If you have any questions contact Julie@ParellaMotorsports.com or call (770)380-7770. GARAGES: If you did not grab a garage for the WGI event, we’ve had a couple open up. It’s $500 for one garage that fits two race cars. Contact Julie if you are interested. Pirelli Tire Give-Away VIR and Barber

Fast, Safe Racing Video – IGT Record Season, Watkins Glen Reset

You’ve heard the old saying “knock on wood” when something is on a positive streak but we say GOOD JOB to all the 2025 International GT competitors for marking 6 event weekends without any cautions for car-to-car contact!! Even with large fields and tight starts (like the one in the photo from March at Road Atlanta) everyone has raced clean and safe!

Click on the photo of Tom Kirk’s 22A to link to a video from Mid Ohio’s enduro showing exactly what we mean. Fast, fun, competitive, safe racing!

Admittedly, there have been a few off-course adventures taken by single cars but no car-to-car contact resulting in caution periods. We say big KUDOS!!
We’re well past the half-way mark in the season with just four races remaining and we look forward to more of the same super fast, safe and conscientious racing throughout the final events of the year. KEEP IT UP!

Mid Ohio Sports Car Course – Race Recap

International GT returned to Mid Ohio Sports Car Course last week after a hiatus to race at Indy in 2024. The Lexington, Ohio circuit gave us our first summer weather of the season with temps in the high 80s and 90s over the weekend. The spectators enjoyed edge-of-your-seat racing at the front throughout the weekend!

MARK SANDRIDGE #58, Team Salad came to Mid Ohio, his home track, ready to race! He and G. MICHAEL MERRITT #899 (also calling Mid Ohio his home track) put on a clinic in racing flat out and clean. The two see-sawed back and forth over three days and four intense races with Sandridge coming out on top by a matter of inches, in three. Merritt finally wore Sandridge down and took the win in the final race of the weekend on Sunday. Merritt takes a companding points lead in the 2025 Mission Foods GT3 Cup Championship.
