Road Atlanta Registration

In just a few weeks International GT will be back to one of our favorite stops at Road Atlanta. The North Georgia circuit always produces close and exciting race and we look forward to the same this year.

Please reach out to Jeff Luckritz (jeff@svra.com) with your paddock space needs to help with planning. The paddock at Road Atlanta will be tight so we encourage everyone to get with Jeff so he will be prepared and best able to meet your team’s needs.

A Look At The Points Too Early?

The race for the year-long Championships has begun! With just one race behind us the points standings are as follows:

Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy

  1. Marc Julien 108.5
  2. Nick Karanagelen 106
  3. Lukas Pank 106

Stuttgart Cup

  1. Steven Thomas 105
  2. Richard Walker 99
  3. Mark Calzaretta 77.5

It’s a good start and we will watch the annual Championship race as closely as we do each race on track!

Looking Ahead To The California Races and Summer Testing

As you plan out the coming racing season there are a couple great opportunities we’d like to bring to your attention.

FIRST, we have a Florida based race team who has space on their trailer to the West Coast for the International GT races at Sonoma and Laguna Seca. This is a great opportunity to race at some of the most iconic tracks in the US. Contact Julie@ParellaMotorsports.com if you have any questions or want more information.

SECOND, we have an IGT prep shop who has secured the day prior to our races at Road America (May 14), Watkins Glen (Sep 3) and VIR (Sep 17). If you are interested in taking part in any of these testing days please contact Derek Garrison at (561)781-RACE (7223). Entry for these testing days is limited.

Forgeline Wheels Announces Partnership with IGT

Forgeline Partners with International GT

Forgeline is excited to provide sponsorship support to the International GT racing series, for the 2025 season.

International GT is a North American racing series that includes multiple championships for competitors who campaign late-model European sports cars. Home primarily to sportsman drivers, with the occasional professional driver/coach joining the action in endurance races, International GT annually presents three different season-long sprint championships, including The Stuttgart Cup (open to Porsche Cayman, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, and other German makes), Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy (exclusive to Porsche 911), and The Maranello Cup (for Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati).

“I’m excited about the International GT series, because it fits perfectly within our realm of expertise,” said Forgeline president Dave Schardt. “We’ve been involved with GT-style racing since the very beginning; from my days racing the Supra and the Porsche in Speedvision World Challenge through Grand Am to today’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS and Weathertech GTD. We understand it, and we’re good at it.”

“Our support of International GT is all about opportunity,” added Forgeline director of sales Steve Schardt. “This is an up-and-coming racing series. And as these drivers go faster, they are going to realize the advantages of a quality forged wheel that is engineered to be stiffer, stronger, and lighter. Which means that the door is wide open for us to help these teams go faster and for us to sell more wheels.”

“International GT welcomes Forgeline as the official wheel supplier for the series,” confirmed the International GT director of competition, Ken Fengler. “Forgeline’s broad line of fitment for International GT cars and the extraordinary commitment to quality make them a perfect partner for the series and our teams and drivers.”

The 2025 International GT competitive season opened during the February 20-23 weekend at Sebring and will see 10 more events at major circuits including Road Atlanta, Sonoma, Laguna Seca, Road America, Mid-Ohio, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, VIR, and Barber Motorsports Park, before finally finishing at COTA on the weekend of October 30-November 2.
