Special Awards to be Presented at SebringThe Derek Bell Le Mans Award
International GT will award one of the most prestigious trophies in motorsports at the Awards Reception at Sebring Gallery of Legends on Friday, February 28th. The trophy is the actual Le Mans Cup that Derek raised on the podium for his victory at the 54th running at La Sarthe in 1986.
The award will be presented to an International GT driver and team who have shown exemplary sportsmanship, professionalism, camaraderie and competitive spirit. “Having driven for the Ferrari and Porsche factory teams, it is a great opportunity to be associated with International GT which features two marques that have highlighted my career,” commented Derek Bell, the five time 24H of Le Mans winner.
The award is sponsored by the Gorsline Company who has pioneered providing insurance for race drivers, teams and high risk professionals for over 45 years. Through their sponsorship of this award, Gorsline Company will make a donation in the recipient’s name to a charity of their choice.

International GT will present the Rookie Of The Year Award for 2019 season during the awards reception at Sebring. The eligible candidate is a driver that competed with International GT for the first year and is relatively early in their racing experience. The criteria includes on-track performance and conduct combined with great attitude, sportsmanship, enthusiasm and camaraderie.
The award is presented and sponsored by Scott Grody Travel, Delray Beach, Florida. After owning and operating a chain of forty-seven travel agencies in the 90’s, Scott now devotes his time as a personal travel planning consultant. His industry expertise and intimate knowledge of his client’s taste and preferences is a great service to his discerning customer base.
The International GT Rookie Of The Year trophy will be awarded with the “Cruise on the Fly” certificate. The recipient and guest will be offered a variety of cruises for 12 months on Celebrity Cruise Line.
