Coming from Europe I think the one thing I lost out on a little bit was the fast, what drivers like to call, the ballsy tracks. I remember the first time I went to Watkins Glen, and this is before they resurfaced it, it definitely reminded me of racing back in Europe. It was definitely a driver’s track, it was an aggressive track, no room for error. I think driver’s respect it more and ultimately the risk over reward if you do make a mistake is pretty huge. Fast forward to a couple years ago, and all of a sudden they resurface it and what was already an animal – they let it out of the cage, so to speak. So an amazing place with a great bunch of race fans up in New York. One of the best for me, not only the best track in North America but probably one of the top three or four in the world that I’ve driven on. I love going back there every year and definitely drivers have to respect it to get the most out of it.
